SAN ANTONIO — UTSA baseball infielder Mason Jacob and right-handed pitcher Holden Harris joined fellow former Roadrunners Kendall Dove and Josh Arquette in the transfer portal, announcing their departures via social media.
Jacob was the Roadrunners’ Opening Day starter at shortstop against South Dakota State University, but went on to make just three additional starts and nine total appearances in 2026. Most recently, Jacob checked in at third for an injured Diego Diaz in the American Conference tournament championship game. He finished the season with four hits in 20 at-bats and one RBI.
Harris — a former Texas Christian University transfer — saw his first collegiate action for the Roadrunners this past season. He made his first appearance in UTSA’s upset loss against the University of Texas at Arlington and registered his first start against Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi shortly after.
Harris’ last outing in a Roadrunner uniform came against the University of the Incarnate Word, where he surrendered three consecutive hits, including a two-run homer.
