Film Breakdown: CSU 2026

Resilient. Unphased. Relentless. UTSA fell to a 14 point deficit against CSU within just minutes of kickoff but the Roadrunners were undeterred, posting 35 unanswered points to build a large lead over the Rams. When CSU fought back to make it a one score game (twice), the Roadrunners just kept pounding away, never shying away from the challenge of a plucky CSU squad.

UTSA’s game started with the following: CSU kickoff return touchdown, missed third down conversion to an open receiver from McCown, a missed 44 yard field goal, then this 75 yard touchdown completion for the Rams. It’s an easy explanation for the explosive play, and an issue we’ve seen way too much of from Jess Loepp’s safeties at UTSA. Cam Upshaw has his eyes completely fixated on the quarterback all the way throughout the play, and never notices the receiver running a skinny post route into Upshaw’s third of the zone coverage in cover three.
