The Roadrunners and Hilltoppers are set to play their third game in less than a year as the 2021 C-USA championship game rematch kicks off this Saturday in the Alamodome. There’s a high degree of familiarity between these two programs, but there’s also a lot to learn about WKU’s new faces on the roster, including their surprise starting quarterback Austin Reed.
WKU also has a new offensive coordinator, and it’s a name that only the most hardcore of UTSA football recruiting junkies will recognize. Could there be bad blood between WKU’s new play caller and the Roadrunner program?
We also cover some news around the UTSA program, including a newly-rescheduled road trip to Baton Rogue to face LSU in 2027.
Be sure to check back later this week as we’ll be recording an NIL “State of the Union” for UTSA athletics exclusively for our Patreon supporters!
