Episode 307: UTSA seeks to build off a close road win over Rice

Follow Alamo Audible:

Rice’s defense shut out UTSA in the second half in Houston, but 16 points were enough for the Roadrunners to get out to a 1-0 record in conference play. The offense struggled, but UTSA’s defensive front really impressed. Next up is a 4-1 USF team who has struggled to put bad teams away despite a $20M roster. Are the Bulls due for a break out, or can UTSA lean on Alamodome magic to continue their hot start to 2026?

  1. This team has 3 backs that will play in the NFL in some capacity, lean on them Thursday night, punch USF right in the mouth from the start and work the play action to open up the big play. If the run 60-70 plays, at least 70% of them should be run plays – IMO

Agree this could be a special season – the defense FINALLY has playmakers in the secondary and you have not seen any drop off from banks to tucker and the linebacker core as a whole has been good.

I really like how Traylor and the staff is identifying players in the JUCO ranks that can be real players and I think those players are better for the culture than someone who was uber talented but washed out at a P4 program.

    BIRDS UP!
