Eric had impeccable timing by picking out yesterday’s softball game between UTSA and UIW as our first softball game to cover at Alamodome Audible. The Roadrunners walked it off against the Cardinals thanks to a solo shot from Florida Southwestern State transfer Taylor Jensen. UTSA starting pitcher Jamie Gilbert was stellar, allowing no runs through 3.2 innings. Homeruns from Marena Estell and Erykah Guerrero helped UTSA match UIW’s offensive output.

Next up for the Roadrunners is an anticipated match-up against I-35 Rival Texas State in the TXST Classic in San Marcos. Following the tilt with the Bobcats, UTSA will also face UT Arlington, Kansas, and Colorado State throughout the four-day tournament.
