The Roadrunners perfectly blended high school, junior college, and transfer portal recruiting as they ended the first day of early signing period with the top-ranked class of the entire Group of 5. This is of course the best recruiting class in program history, and we’re here to break down each and every addition to the roster now that they’ve signed their National Letters of Intent.
Highlighting the class are two top-ranked JUCO offensive tackles who can compete for starting jobs on day one, as well as two veteran running backs who will compete to complement Kevorian Barnes in the backfield.
UTSA added two quarterbacks in Jackson Gilkey and Owen McCown, suddenly providing UTSA with an AAC-worthy depth chart under center. The two quarterbacks will have plenty of young standout receivers to develop chemistry with over the coming years as well.
The class really leaves us with just one key question left to answer… where are all the safety recruits at?
