After blowing a 14 point lead in the fourth quarter UTSA still found a way to escape UAB in double overtime for the program’s first-ever win in Birmingham. The Roadrunners used a surging run game bolstered by yet another brand new starting lineup for the offensive line. UTSA’s big nasties helped Kevorian Barnes to another huge game as the redshirt freshman begins to blossom into a star.
The Roadrunners will return to the Alamodome this week to face a struggling Louisiana Tech team. While the Bulldogs haven’t looked great this year, they are coming off their best performance of the year after forcing five turnovers against Middle Tennessee. We lay out why La Tech is unlikely to pull off the massive upset in what could be the two program’s last meeting on the gridiron.
