The Roadrunners showed up big time in another wet, dreary road game as UTSA destroyed the Rice Owls and hoisted the 2022 C-USA Regular Season championship trophy. Jared and Adrian break down the psychological focus which helped UTSA establish their dominance over Rice for the second straight season in a row. With their conference championship game berth secured, the Roadrunners will wrap up their regular season by hosting the UTEP Miners in the Alamodome this Saturday. Agreed with everything about the defense. Incredible improvement from the first few weeks. How much do you think Kavorian Barns getting first team practice reps and his level of play has impacted our defense?
Oh man, that’s an interesting thought I hadn’t considered before. It makes some sense, but typically the first team offense would go against scout team defense and vice versa within the season. It’s pretty rare to go ones against ones between August and December.
That makes more sense than what I was thinking. Must be the team finally meshing after the string of injuries/returning players. Must really throw a wrench into things when the guys you have been practicing with all summer are suddenly missing. But man, Kavorian Barnes is just so electric. Love the way he finishes carries. I don’t know so much about football, but as a casual fan he really looks like Bijan Robinson “Lite” the way he runs. I look forward to his growth in the AAC for sure.
